  Check your state laws... some states have no statute of limitations, some allow children to each their late 20's before speaking up... just depends on where the crime took place and what laws were (or are in place)...

  so a few months ago, i was searching the internet for "exit counselors", and i came across an interesting article about the psychological affects of religious cults in general... i then started to take down some notes so i could go back and research later.... this morning, i was looking at those notes which included a top 7 list of the most psychologically damaging sects or cults (according to the opinion of certain people in this very limited field)... here's that list:.

  I believe the references I looked up were more focused on the severity of the psychological damage brought upon individual members of each sect as perceived by exit conselors, psychologists, etc..

  I don't remember the "population" of each sect being a discussed or even being a factor in the final analysis... But I do get your point...

  Funny you should mention Alcoholics Anonymous... I have a friend who goes to AA meetings (or at least that's what he says) and he seems a lot worse now than before he finally admitted he had a drinking problem... There just might be some truth to your opinion...

  this morning i get a frantic call from my sister (who has been baptized 1 year and one month and never attends meetings anymore).
